Date(s) - 03/09/2018
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
White Water Hall, Room #132
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department and Richmond Police Department will be hosting IDEA’s and the Act-Out Ensemble’s presentation of their state-wide program of interactive training in each of the 8 areas of required state mandates. They will have two sessions at Whitewater Hall – Room #132, with the first beginning at 10:00am and the second beginning at 1:00pm, of this unique presentation of state mandated training developed by the Indiana Drug Enforcement Association, and approved by the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. In just two hours, they will receive training in the eight mandated areas of Domestic Violence, Hazardous Materials, SIDS, Blood Borne Pathogens, Mental Illness, Human Trafficking, Autism, and Alzheimer’s. This refreshing approach gives law enforcement some meaning to state mandated training. It no longer has to be an all-day, boring, excruciating day of lectures and slide shows.
DIRECTIONS: Once on campus, park in main parking lot and enter through the main doors of Whitewater Hall. Once in Whitewater Hall, turn left and head towards “The Den” (cafeteria). Room #132 is on the right.
IDEA is going green! New for 2018 will be the elimination of certificates, unless requested. ILEA rosters, containing the mandates covered in the training, will be scanned and emailed accordingly.
