The Wells County Sheriff’s Department will host two 2016 training sessions on May 18, 2016 (10am – 1pm) at the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
IDEA and the Act-Out Ensemble will present an all new program for 2016 of interactive training in each of the 8 areas of required state mandates. This unique way of presenting state mandated training was developed by the Indiana Drug Enforcement Association, and has been seen and approved by the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. In just two hours, you will receive training (along with a certificate) in the eight mandated areas of Domestic Violence, Hazardous Materials, SIDS, Blood Borne Pathogens, Mental Illness, Human Trafficking, Autism, and Alzheimer’s. This refreshing approach gives law enforcement some meaning to state mandated training. It no longer has to be an all-day, boring, excruciating day of lectures and slide shows.
When hosting state mandated training, your department will receive a special rate, based on your location, to train your personnel. If one or more employees are sick, on vacation, or simply out-of-the-office, they are welcome to attend other department’s scheduled mandated training as a make-up, with no additional cost to you.
If your department isn’t interested in hosting their own mandated training, you may register online to attend other locations for an individual cost of $40 per person.
